A bit of a chugging mystery, this "I'm Working All Night" track. Our impossible Impresario Mr. Sleazy McQueen has gathered a small rag-tag fleet of musical miscreants into his orbit. A 'burning midnight oil' session in North Carolina with the mysterious Nasty Fruits resulted in this lovely ode to working it out while succumbing to romantic distractions. Bleepy swamp funk and blippy indie crooning abounds as "I'm Working All Night" builds into a frustrated ball of buxom dancefloor possibility. It sounds better than it looks, much better. Bop.
Remix duty has been doled out to a delicious trio of co-conspirators. Anthony Mansfield from San Francisco, head honcho of Hector Works, and formerly the one known as Anthony Garlic lays down some spacey Italo-Funk with some keyboard help from twisted house man of the moment Nick Chacona. Atnarko takes a break from his slew of releases with Formidable Force to knock out a squelchy thumper that makes our toes wanna tingle. And, lastly, Sleazy McQueen comrade in arms Jaywood surprised us with a heavy, jacking house mix that's sure to make ready dancers quake in their shoes.
